On our latest adventure…
Day One:
The heroes began their journey back to town. Eventually, they made camp. The first day and night was uneventful.
Day two:
On the second day, the heroes came upon a cliff with a cave at the bottom. There were two statues or columns at the bottom, on either side of the cave entrance. Upon closer inspection, they appeared to be obelisks of some sort of magical nature.
Malith found tracks that were a foot wide by 3 feet long. (Giants?)
Arsene discovered magical ruins on the obelisks. Peter revealed they were not divine in nature. Arsene recognized the sign for winter. (Snow giants?)
The heroes discussed the situation. While giants could pose a threat if they wanted to, these giants had done nothing wrong so far. It was determined that the heroic thing was to let them be and not initiate a conflict where there was none.
That night the heroes set up camp again. The night passed uneventfully.
Day three:
Arsene and Malith went out to hunt/trap food. After eating, the group found a beautiful, serene area. It had a pond and nice vegetation. Ember felt it was a very safe location. She told a story to entertain the others. Everyone felt great.
They moved on and eventually made camp.
During his watch, Arsene heard chittering and woke the others. The camp was attacked by 11 giant rats, the size of a large cat, and by 1 more rat, the size of a large dog.
During a fierce battle the party killed the rats. Malith killed the big one. The group could hear more rats in the distance scurrying away.
We found a bison corpse.Day four: The day and night both passed uneventfully.
Day five:
We returned to the village and told Orbin everything.
We received 144 gold each.
Peter handled the minotaur skulls.
Then we returned to the city of Port Brax. We bought stuff.
Arsene deposited 50 gp for a mithril rapier at Hammonds Weapons. It will cost 4-5 thousand in about 3 months if he wants to buy it.
Malith bought a special, concealable daggar.
At Kelton’s Inn, Brahi told stories of our adventure. Someone asked our group name and Peter said, “the Juggernauts.”
A man approached the group and identified that he knew Lord Aldred and Lady Hammil.
We made arrangements to meet at high noon tomorrow for a discussion about a job.
