The heroes still in the ice cave, we debated a bit about how to handle the squid monster. In the end we decided to take the ice down and tell the people. Maleth followed from a distance in case there was trouble.
The people we found, some were unconscious and some were days and disoriented. They had varying levels of understanding of what had taken place.
We explained everything to the mayor who tried to be a good leader in the situation. He was looking for his son. Unfortunately the party found the son dead. He was about 5 years older than he should have been so we suspected the ice squid.
The town was thankful to the heroes. They gave us no money. And we left.
On the way back to Port brax, we saw other travelers. They were large hemoids. One of them was carrying a bag. The bag appeared to be struggling. There were seven of them.
We attacked and killed five. The two that got away had the struggling bag.
After the battle, something was wrong with peter. We figured out that an insect that looked like a gold coin had burrowed inside of Peter’s body. Ember and capture hand around it so it couldn’t escape and cut an opening forcing the beetle out.
We did some healing and took our rests.
We return to Port bracks. The party returned to the inn and will leave in the morning on Lord Aldreds quest.
